"Since 2015, if Iowa rushes for 100 yards in a game, it is 26-1. If it doesn’t, it’s 0-11. This season, if Nebraska holds opponents to fewer than 200 yards rushing, it’s 4-1. When it doesn’t, it’s 0-6." #FightForIowa

What's hidden here, for Iowa, is absolutely WAY too much reliance on running. If it's not there..PASS.

I think what's hidden here is that if Iowa's line can't run block someone, they certainly can't pass block someone. Iowa is already 1 dimensional, so if you take that away, they've got no answer.

The thing is, Iowa isn't even a prolific running team. They haven't been ranked higher than 50 since 2008, and they usually are in the 90s. Only twice since 2001 have the Hawkeyes cracked the top 25 on offense. They were with the same class of players. Ferentz got lucky with one recruiting class on offense and he's been selling snake oil as offensive identity since then.

It would often be better for Iowa to punt on first down and hope for an interception for points than to run an offense. /s

I would say this played out well for Iowa. :)
