The only thing I don't understand is your perspective on things as a Hawkeye fan. Who's done more for the state of Iowa and Hawkeye football, DJK or Kirk Ferentz?
Think about that for a second.
Now consider the fact that you seem to go out of your way to bash a guy like Kirk Ferentz whenever it's convenient for you. Yet, you honor a guy like DJK by making him your avatar. Honestly, that alone tells me all I need to know about your attitude. You'd prefer to cheer for an arrogant egomaniac who knowingly lived in a drug house instead of a guy who has led Iowa to several BCS games, delivered multiple hard-working under the radar kids to prosperous NFL careers, and more importantly given a huge amount of his personal time and money to the community and different charities like the Children's Hospital. Not to mention the fact he does things the right way.
I'm not saying you aren't a fan because I'm not entitled to decide who is or who isn't. Everyone has their own opinion and that's the way it should be. I just don't understand your perspective that's all.

Welp my old avatar was more about the catch that DJK made. I was against Meeshegan and was a sweet over the shoulder catch that set up a TD. Ive had that avatar since that game.
Back on track....Ive learned that I shouldnt point out anything negative about you know who because of the amazing amount of recruits that are on this site.

The OP started a thread regarding Ferentz's success at developing players and giving them an opportunity to earn a very good living in the NFL. Even Kirk's biggest haters have to admit he's second to none when it comes to player development. A thread is started to share an article that discusses this, and you still find a way to try to hate on him. Forgive me for thinking your comments are unnecessary.
*Your sarcasm is obvious which I'm sure is intended, but recruits do visit these sites whether you believe that or not. How many? No one really knows, but I'm sure many of them take the time to research different schools and their respective fanbases.

I understand its not about winning. It about producing as many NFL players as possible. If Iowa produces more NFL player than Minnesota then those losses to them dont matter.
Also losing to Northwestern isnt all that bad because those WildCat players with be more successful on average than the Iowa players later in life and thats what matters.
Losing is a good lesson also because nothing saids lifes a ***** quite like losing to Minnesota 2 years in a row.
I do think Iowa should hire a crew of say 20 to 30 people to watch over the players and make sure they dont get in trouble. We dont want players to be slipping through the cracks. Just think if none of KFs players never got kicked off the team or left due to getting in trouble, think how many more Kirk could have gotten into the NFL.

I agree IChawk. I probably just need to do a better job of ignoring the posters who are constantly negative. I visit the boards frequently and it can get on your nerves if you let it. It's like working with someone who's negative all the time, it gets to be exhausting. It makes you wonder what their life outside of work is like. You want to tell that person "If you don't like what you're doing get another freakin job and stop bringing your sour *** attitude around here". That's the same way I feel about the constantly negative posters. If you can only find negative things to say about the program then why cheer for it? That may seem complicated to some, but to me it's not. So it's hard for me to see the other perspective.
I just don't get that kind of attitude. I enjoy the Hawks and I hope for the best. I think Ferentz goes about things the right way, the Iowa way. He has his priorities straight. I think it's a bonus that he seems to win more than he loses, and he's capable of delivering a special season every once in awhile. That's enough for me.
