Vandenberg will never lead a 2 minute drill

Ever. He has had 2 big chances, and both times Kirk has told him he wasn't good enough to even try. I realize he wasn't sharp today, but I wouldn't be surprised if he throws 3 picks and plays terrible next week, that is a huge confidence buster when your coach basically says that he would rather put your weak *** defense on the field with the game on the line than give you a chance to win it.

He has nothing to do with Vandenberg, it has everything to do with Coach Ferentz poor thinking that playing for OT rather than making a mistake is better. KF has done this at Iowa with his best teams.
