Are frickin saweeet! Boise State's jerseys, on the other hand are fugly. I understand football isn't a fashion contest, but being that Iowa is sponsored by Nike, I wonder if they'll ever do the pro-combat thing.

I could see them doing it but they'd probably have some kind of traditional spin like OSU had last year.
what the hell is a pro combat uniform?
There is a rumor on the pay boards that somebody in the equipment department said we are going to switch to the Pro Combat unis next year.
As long as they stay true to the current uni's and don't try and reinvent the wheel (*cough* late Hayden Fry era), I'd have no problem with that. I love the flat black look as well, just wouldn't want to see it every game. On the other hand, it would be cool to have the Hawks be the only team sponsored by Nike that opted not to go pro-combat. You can bet within the next few years, all the other Nike sponsored teams will make the switch.
I realize that VT is wearing pro combat, I was just wondering what the design characteristics of it are.
In other words, how would Iowa's jersey change if they went to pro combat.
Not saying these uni's would look anything like what Iowa might/will don, but it's a visual at least.

I think those uni were replicas from the '50's.
That actually doesn't look bad. These are the ones I have seen and I think they are ugly as ****...
