I heard from a solid source that Herby will be an assistant coach this season. Fran had him over for dinner and they got along famously......

Sounds as if Russ Smith of Louisville has decided this team is all about him. He took 25 of the 68 shots the team took and scored 29 points. No one else on the team scored in double figures.

Attitudes like that are why the USA usually has difficulty winning the championship in international competition. One would think the coach would correct such situations. Basketball is supposed to be a team game.....

To be fair, it sounds like several players are having a hard time adjusting to the FIBA rules with 4 guys fouling out not to mention shooting 20% from the deeper 3pt line. For those that might like to actually see game summary & stats, here are a couple of links:
