Uthoff goes off against Gonzaga

With White getting all the headlines you can bet the Zags will be concentrating on trying to slow him down. I think it's Uthoff's turn to go off tonight for at least 20 ... he is a very tough match up for them. I also think Gabe and Woody play well against the big polish sausage in the middle.

Funny you mention this..FWIW, I had a dream that Iowa has the ball with the game tied and Uthoff drills a contested 18 footer at the buzzer to win it. Hoping it's some sort of sign...
 
I'm guessing Few isn't going to rely on the media for his preparation. He'll have seen plenty of film and know exactly what Uthoff is capable of. Second-leading scorers on a Big 10 team isn't going to sneak up on anyone.

My dreams are WAAYYYY different. My dream, that is appropriate for this forum, would be where the starters can sit with 2 mins left in the game due to the commanding lead.
 
I agree that with what little they'll know about us that White will be heavily keyed on. However outside of mismatches like Davidson provided we don't usually run the O through him per say. I think Uthoff missed some makeable shots for him the other day and he's a mismatch nightmare for about any team we play. I love when he gets the ball at the elbow. He can get a good look or make a smart play about every time from there.
 
It looks like Jok has his stroke back which is a great sign as 3 to 4 scorers on the floor make it tough on the zags and anybody.

Any scoring from clemmons and Oges is a bonus and hope Mikey G has a good game.

Gabe and Woody must play well tonight they will be put to test.
 
I believe all of Iowa will be tested on offense and on defense....Our kids played very hard on defense and some were extremely gassed....Woody will have to battle all game long, and I feel we can run on them and Gabe will be key....ball control, limit turnovers, rebound the hell out of the ball, guard the perimeter, I guess, basically have an near perfect game.....it'll be fun to watch, as it will go to the wire, and we will prevail

I believe Mike Gessel will be the key...Gonzaga goes as their guards go.
 
I should've mentioned Mike earlier as well....God, we have to wait all freakin afternoon until the game.....I'm going insane...Is the game that Fran matches player personnel like a pro and matches everything that Few does? Who (for Iowa) will come out of nowhere and surprise us today? Is it Og's? Will it be Sapp?
 
Whoever Bell from the Zags is matched up with will struggle to get baskets tonight. He's a hell of a defender. One of our guards will have to step up in the scoring column for us to pull it off. On Iowa!
 
From reading the thread title I was thinking this was a postgame discussion or that JU made a statement about 'zaga. But I'll take it. Everyone needs to play all out tonight.
