Will The sanctions against USC help our recruiting efforts at all or will it just help the West Coast? What's everyone think?

I think it may help us with some, but won't be a major deal for us.

It helps with guys from outside the West Coast. Guys from California would be more likely to go to UCLA, Cal, or Oregon. But guys from the Midwest, South, and Southeast? We get a boost there just because USC won't be a major player for a lot of them.

in theory, it will help 116 teams. May not get a guy who would have gone to USC, but it will create a domino effect. I.e. instead of going to USC, he goes to Ohio State, (just for example) now OSU has one fewer scholly to give than otherwise had USC not been sanctioned. Also, schollys will be used on a lot of transfers out of USC.

So yes, this will most likely indirectly help Iowa.
