USA Wrestling Unveils NEW TV Program

Man, it's too bad Scott Casber is the host, or I'd probably watch it. I'm not a fan of his style.

Just kind of wondering why some don't like Casper. I've only heard his show a couple of times, but he seems to enjoy wrestling and does his best to promote it. Is it just because he annouces at ISU?

Speaking only for myself, it has nothing to do with him being the announcer at ISU. I've listened to his radio show a few times, and I just don't like his style. I think he gets defensive and belligerent for no reason sometimes (i.e., he assumes people are or will disagree with something he's saying). I also think he's kind of a crappy interviewer -- the kind that ask softball questions that are longer than the answer. Also, the times I've listened, I got really tired of his MMA promotion. That's just me; I have no interest in MMA and don't particularly want to hear a 10-minute monologue about it when I'm tuning in to hear about college wrestling.

Anyway, it's all a matter of personal taste. I understand some people really like him, and that's fine. I also understand pin's point about wrestling needing coverage. I just don't think we should automatically be happy with any old crappy coverage instead of asking for/expecting quality coverage. Just my opinion, and obviously the criteria for "crappy" varies widely.

either way if its crappy or not its a step in the right direction and will open up other doors for bigger companies i hope
