USA vs Argentina men's basketball on now

How hard is it to understand... this team is full of procrastinators. They wait til the last quarter to take care of biz.

Just another 30 point win without trying. NEXT.

First of all, you can't tell me they didn't try. If Durant doesn't go off and Argentina doesn't throw in the towel mid way through the third, it's a dog fight to the end. They gave up 60 in the first half. Second, wtf does that have to do with Kobe being a selfish ballhog?

Love it when Americans cheer against team USA. It's like idiots want them to lose so they can say, "see, told ya the dream team is better?"

Probably the same fans as the clown fans who could care less if they win a handful of games for the year as long as they beat Iowa in the super bowl

Dude, that's a ton of IF's in that post. Obviously USA picked up there game and delivered the KO because I don't honestly think Argentina threw in the towel by themselves. Got to give USA credit for taking the life out of Argentina.

Like I’ve said before, U.S. plays how they want when they want. They’re gonna win the gold, they know it, you know it. They don’t play D, and it doesn’t matter b/c their offensive firepower is too much for these European goofballs to handle. They play sloppy ball for 3 qtrs and then start putting forth effort (not just jacking up 3’s) down the stretch.

I meant to quote your other post not the Kobe blurb.

Fair enough, but they can't keep that type of effort up on D. We're a poor shooting might away from missing out on gold.

Two seems like a ton to me too, especially in a game that was 60-59 at the time.

I'm not saying it wasn't close at the break. All I'm saying is that obviously the US made some adjustments at the break or simply decided it was time to start playing harder. I simply stand behind what i posted originally when I made the comment that Argentina didn't simply throw in the towel and quit playing for no reason. The fact it was a one point game at the break validates that comment. Team USA turned up the intensity and played the way they need to all the time. Argentina didn't throw in the towel, they were simply outplayed.

argentina also pulled some of their players in the 2nd half. i think it was lets no fully exert ourselves because we will have to play these guys in the medal round and we want them to not fully know what we have.

i expect usa to win and think they are the best team...but anyone who think argentina or spain cant beat them is dillusional. those are two very capable teams. usa relies too much on the outside shot (out of necessity) because the team was put together poorly with no inside presence.

It was a no win situation for Argentina. Durant got hot, no reason to continue to play your aging stars in basically a meaningless game for them. Argentina threw in the towel at that point.
