By the way, I don't think I have ever seen a retry on a pk for a goalie being off their line or a for a player entering the 18 too soon. Being that both of these happened in this game is crazy.

I agree. For them to battle through all that adversity was amazing. You could see in their faces how badly they wanted to win and kept fighting to the finish.

Was fun to watch. When we won the 1999 match against China, I was at 30,000 ft in a plane heading home when the pilot came on and announced that Brandi Chastain had kicked a penalty goal to defeat China for the World Championship. We had a little USU,USA chant going on the plane.
