All Urban Meyer to OSU means is that the "culture" at OSU hasn't really "changed". They never intended that, any more than USC or Miami/FL.

At Florida, a player threatened to KILL his girlfriend. Suspension lasted exactly as long as the next UF loss streak.

That's why they will be back to being a mess in five years when he leaves.

Let's face it, Iowa rarely beat OSU on the field or in recruiting battles before Urban Meyer, and I don't see that changing any now that Urban is the head coach. And if given the choice, a Bowl Game will always pick OSU over Iowa. So there is little direct impact to Iowa.

However, indirectly, a strong OSU makes live tougher on Michigan which helps Iowa in the Legends division. Also, a strong OSU weakens Wisconsin & Penn State which may help Iowa in recruiting battles against those two schools.
