Think ur right about thumb....he had no zip on ball after PS. Backup qbs must really suck to stick with a guy who can only throw 10 yardsI'm wondering if Nate's thumb was downplayed, or if something happened in practice the week before PSU. Since then until this week he just hasn't been the same player.
He still had zip, just no touch.Think ur right about thumb....he had no zip on ball after PS. Backup qbs must really suck to stick with a guy who can only throw 10 yards
With the kid from Cali and some of the other guys coming off redshirt next year the back up QB competition is going to be one of the hottest battles in campHe still had zip, just no touch.
As for the backups, well if Mansells first pass was any indicator, they're just not ready.
Nate was bad before he hurt his thumb come on. It was very clear the play he hurt it in the PSU game. He hit it on Render's helmet as he was being pushed back into him. His thumb was fine before that, which I believe was in the 4th quarter when it happened. Nate looks decent against the likes of Minny, Indiana, Illinois, you know the bottom of the barrel teams, and even then his throws are off target. He is bad against any team with a pulse on defense. That Illinois team was absolutely awful. We beat a high school team today, and people all of a sudden think we have it figured out. This is why KF is still the coach here.I'm wondering if Nate's thumb was downplayed, or if something happened in practice the week before PSU. ExactlyWow. This is pretty easy.
Up: playing shit tier teams.
Down: playing teams with a pulse
