Update on pro combat uniforms

I spoke with a Nike rep that told me that nobody will be carrying replica versions of the combat uniforms for purchase. Apparently Iowa had them made without using a Nike designer, and if you see what they look like, this rumor is obviously true. They are very plain and ugly. I for one am really disappointed. Either do it all the way or don't do it at all.

You are 100% right. I was soo pumped for us to do something different. The uniforms look like a really plain version of Purdue. It's rough.

Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I really enjoyed seeing them in the black uniforms last Saturday. Those throwbacks were terrible and I'm thinking...if we are home...play in the regular uni's...they are classic and timeless. Kids these days...what ever happened to tradition.

I am in the minority, but I don't think they are that bad. I think if they do the helmet right (hopefully a matte silver, or chrome helmet (not likely)), it will look pretty sharp.

I like that they're not all jacked up and don't look like a methhead designed them. Sounds like the helmets will suck, though.
