After our tune up for the big 10 with Ball State, as of now, Iowa plays 4 straight games against ranked opponents. Great opportunity to throw ourselves back into the top 10 and hopefully a Rose Bowl. Here's to the Hawks making some noise again and time to get excited about this team again!!!

We have a really great shot at those games! Dont hang your head low Hawk fans! We have many games left to play! Go Hawks!

Loser of Michigan-MSU may not be ranked...PSU could lose to Temple this weekend...MSU plays Wisconsin before they play Iowa, so they could have two losses.

That being said, yes, that is a tough stretch.

Take a look a NW schedule. It is entirely possible they could be 6-2 to 8-0 when Iowa faces them since their only tough games are v MSU and @ PSU and winning either game isn't a stretch. The dearth of the Big Ten Cellar (Illinois, Purdue, Indiana & Minnesota) should allow for nearly all 7 of the other teams to be undefeated against them.

For this reason, I think it's essential to get both Coker and Johnson onto the field this week. We need to get up early and sit ARob for the second half, letting Coker and Johnson battle it out for #2 now that Hampton is out. What's worse, having 2 guys with one less year of eligibility or having 1 guy with one less year of eligibility stepping onto the field for his first snap against Wisconsin's D? We can't afford to worry about the 2014 season right now.

Iowa should beat all but Wisconsin. That one is a toss up.

I'd say @Michigan and Michigan St. are much tougher opponents than Wisconsin. I'm not really worried about Wisconsin. We match up very well with them. I'm more worried about @NW than Wisconsin too.

Michigan St. will be out to get us. Wisconsin doesn't scare me enough in the passing game.

I think we beat Penn State, Michigan (Michigan's bad defense won't get fixed that quickly, MSU the week before Iowa and Iowa's bye before the Michigan game all will help), and Wisconsin (not impressive to date). Iowa will have their hands full with MSU.

Two other teams to watch out for in November are Northwestern on the road and OSU at home.

I think the Hawks beat every one else on the schedule.

I think 10-2 is a good bet. A 11-1 record is possible if everything goes right (which it rarely does).

I'm concerned about Wisconsin because of their O-line. If you remember last year they were running on us pretty easily until Clay got hurt.

Have we learned nothing...........maybe it isn't just a line and maybe we should just learn to play one damn game at a time before crowning ourselves national champs.
