UNI is Iowa's Super Bowl

Yeah, I don't think anyone has ever viewed UNI as our Superbowl but there really isn't any reason we should an inferior program to them.

Iowa shouldn't be inferior to UNI, but they have been for much of the past decade. UNI has been the best team in the state for a while now. Coach Jacobson is a really, really good coach.

That said, I still don't get the Super Bowl comment. Very odd.

Save the Super Bowl celebration for the conference, as it is quite possible we only win one game. In general The Valley is a much better conference than it used to be. A Wichita State, Missouri State, Bradley, etc., came along every so often, but now it seems every team is pretty respectable. With that being said, it is quite telling that many will view an Iowa win as an upset.

yup real dominant especially last season against basically against this same team
ooohh snap the mighty UNI team lost 51-39
they are not a dominant team nor is Iowa, but i would not go and write off Iowa's chances tomorrow night

Doesn't matter who's super bowl it is, UNI will beat us like a rented mule, and then rape that same mule up the *** just to prove its point!

"this is going to be a nice cheap easy win for UNI. i say cheap because most people will look at the score and say "wow UNI beat a big ten team by 15" but in reality it wont require that great of an effort by UNI. but it will look good at first glance on paper."

Thats very confident after scoring in the 30s last year.

The Valley has actually been down recently, they were much stronger in the mid 2000's. This year however, they are very strong. Creighton is probably going to end up a top 10 team, Wichita St and UNI are both very strong, and the bottom of the conference is not nearly as bad as it used to be. I could see the Valley getting three teams in this year.

The thing about that comment that strikes me as odd is that there are no bowls of any sort in basketball, let alone "Super" bowls.

You really think Creighton will be top 10? I agree they will be very good, just don't see the pollsters voting them in the top 10?

Yes, I think they are one of the 15 best teams in the country and thanks to being in the MVC they will end up somewhere along the lines of 29-4, and be on the back end of the top 10.

Which would be a lot of fun for ISU fans. McDermott fails at ISU, leads Creighton to a top ten finish. Two Ames high schoolers both make All-American teams and neither of them do it at ISU.

That would be hilarious. I agree they are good and will have a record around what you predicted. Just be shocked if they crack top 10. I was very impressed with Dougie.

UNI is good but I bet they finish no better than 5th in a strong MVC this year. That being said with the way we have been playing UNI should have this game put away by half.
UNI 67 Iowa 49

Apparently UNI does not understand what the comment indicates. Although Iowa may get beat by UNI, UNI hardly would be Iowa's Super Bowl. That would mean that if Iowa wins the game then they would throw the rest of the season to the dogs because we won the ONE game we wanted to win...makes no sense. UNI needs to get a clue and enjoy their wins while they can get them. In a couple of years there will be no more gloating from UNI...in other words, kick us while you can because we are going to get up and kick their a$$ in a year or two...

This is a misleading title, it was one idiot that said that, not like the thread was about that.
