A big win. Their only loss was to a pretty solid West Virginia team they had on the ropes for.3/4 of the game. Between Farley and Jacobson, the UNI brand continues to be solid for a mid major.

Yeah Green is legit. He had a terrible game against us was that last yr or the yr before in DSM? But he is obviously a dang good player. UNI is always solid Jacobson knows how to get Iowa kids that Iowa and ISU pass over and they play with that chip on their shoulder

Jacobson made a good choice to stay at UNI. Doesn't have to worry about job security. It seems every few years they put a really solid team together. Jacobson said this looked to be like one of those years before the season.

UNI is a really nice gig and university. As far as athletics, they provide nice facilities and support the programs and coaches.

According to 247 Iowa State did offer AJ. Also AJ reported offers from Nebraska, Virginia (?!), Clemson and Minnesota as well. Seems pretty obvious to me that he was likely always going to UNI regardless.

Interesting I didn't know that ISU offered. Just ASSumed they hadn't with him going to UNI and all. With an offer list like that it is pretty interesting that he'd stay home to play at UNI. He's gotten to play day 1 there when those other schools that may not have been the case. Hard telling what all his reasons for that is. Good for him though it's nice when UNI is doing well he's a perfect fit for them

Maybe you were being sarcastic, but his dad (Kyle Green) is one of Jacobsen's assistants.

Green's dad is on the UNI coaching staff. Probably the same reason ISU didn't recruit any of the McCaffrey's.

Green is okay but he is basically an inefficient chucker at this point. He has a sub 100 offensive rating. Honestly don't think ISU or Iowa missed out at all.
There is a certain Iowa fan past time on this site than any mid major player who has a good scoring game is clearly better than our players playing at the high major level. Our old buddy lightning said Juwan McCloud would be better than Jbo. It’s tradition.
