UNI Beats Iowa State 60-54.

haha ... Most of us predicted about 13-14 wins total before the season.

I hope you didnt watch the game. It was ugly. There is some horrible basketball being played in the state of Iowa this winter.

Are you crazy??? We are excited and Iowa is 3-4!:) Seriously!

From the RPI thread. I think everybody knew UNI would be tough on the road!

Oh, yeah. I thought you meant Cyclone fans were saying that.

Unfortunately, we had a bunch of fans thinking we would roll UNI on the road, which was crazy talk. It was a winnable game, but when it's all said and done, it's tough to win on the road.

UNI should be pretty tough again this year. Not like last year, but they should be decent!

I'm not so sure. They didn't look very good on offense. They'll be decent at home, but that's about it.

I think you guys will take them at CHA.

I agree with you that they might struggle. I dont see where the points are going to come from on a consistent basis. They go long stretches without scoring

I think the key for you guys will be Cartwright being able (or not able) to keep Ahelgbe in front of him. I can also see your bigs having trouble with Jake Koch, as he likes to pull them outside and hit the three.

I have not seen them play, nor did I see the game tonight. I think any of the in-state games are winnable for Iowa, it's just a matter if they can put 40 minutes together. The Hawks could win them all or lose them all???

I think you're right. As crazy as it might sound, Iowa could very well be the "state champ" this year.

You are damn lucky you didn't see the game tonight. It was a grinding, boring, game...just what UNI needed to do to win. Plus, the Panther Network was beyond crappy.

As crappy as WOI?

I'm out-of-state, so just watch on Full Court. Is WOI the same as Mediacom 22 or whatever that is? That's bad, too.

This was much worse than anything I've seen. It started out off-the-air, came on black and white for a few minutes, then was washed-out bright off and on. And the commentators weren't good either. Horrible production.

I'm not counting UNI as a win, even at home (I think we might see a pretty good crowd for that one). Until proven otherwise, UNI is the best team in the state, and I'll favor them against both us and Drake.

I thought it was far worse than WOI. At least with them, you could kind of count on the games starting on time and not be subjected to a delay due to technical difficulty. I wasn't fond of the slap chop commercial they replayed a few times. Although, the show Coach did start and ironically enough Minnesota State was getting ready to play Iowa.
