UNC suspensions

lol Beau Corrales. There's a blast from the past. Looks like he had 3 TD's last year on only 9 receptions. That's quite a stat.

Apparently men's basketball is the only clean program they have out there.
Ha. Yeah and some will take this and spin it to where they say how only the NCAA can make $ yadda yadda. To me it's as simple as you know the rules before you agree to go. It's one thing if they change while your there. But if you know and decide to cheat and then get caught you can't all of a sudden then bitch about them right? I mean it's like saying I don't agree with your speed limit sign of 35 going through town officer so my going 60 is ok... Yeah see how that goes over...

First - This probably happens quite often. I'm not see it as a big deal unless they were sold for thousands of $$$ a pair.

Second - The NCAA is allowing the school to pick the games to sit due to multiple players playing the same position? Thats BS - violation is a violation, do the crime do the time.

This bears some similiarties to the 2000 Shoe Box incident at Wisconsin, where players were getting merchandise at discounted prices.

Twenty-six players were docked one to three games. Up to 81 were involved in some capacity.

The killer to the whole deal is that the ruling came out on the morning of Wisconsin's season opener. It was also the closest Alvarez ever came to bailing Madison. He came very close to accepting the U of Miami job that year. The Packers and Philadelphia Eagles showed interest as well.

LMMFAO! Their entire athletic department, especially the men's basketball program..are as corrupt as hell. They are the worst bunch of cheaters in the history of the NCAA. And it ain't even close.
Totally agree. It really doesn't concern me directly, but it is like my life's mission to see ol' Roy taken down. Absolutely can't stand him and hoping it comes back to bite him in the ass one day before he dies.

Ole Miss for awhile there was giving them a run for their money. They were beyond terrible for quite awhile. Should have had the death penalty thrown at them but... SEC..

There was a period at Ol' Miss where they were out-recruiting the Tide. It was ridiculous, they were getting star players out of Florida, Georgia, Louisiana and I think that Treadwell kid was from the Chicago area. Nick was purportedly going to file a formal complaint against Hugh Freeze, but then the hookers got the best of Hugh and the world returned to normal.

I forgot about that... Squeaky clean Wisky…..

Nick Saban filing a recruiting complaint is even funnier than some of your other stuff. Good Lord, he's spread more money around Orlando, alone, than the whole recruiting budget at most schools.

Nick does things the right way, bud. Whenever you hear of issues in the SEC, they aren't at Nick's programs, they are things like Ol' Miss getting that really good class or Cam going to Auburn for a purported $250k. The only incentive Nick is doling out is the promise that if you commit to Alabama and work your hardest, you'll have a chance to start on a team that will likely be in the playoff multiple times in your college career. And aside from 'Bama's next coach, Dabo, there ain't a lot of guys who can truthfully make that promise.

Yeah I can't say I've heard anything different either... Look no further than his current QB situation. Hurts is all butt hurt over getting benched after playing what was one bad half of football right? 2 years of 'sweat equity' gets you nothing handed to you there. If you aren't the best player in the moment you'll get replaced. He doesn't need drama on any front he just don't. Heck he doesn't need to get the best of QBs because he gets the best of where teams really count. Their lines on both sides and LBs are monsters. Their 3rd team WRs would start at most schools and RBs are often in the Heisman discussion if not win it. Their QBs just need to not lose them games. Jake Rudock could have won titles at Bama....
Dabo hasn't been in the drivers seat as long as Saban but he seems to do things without any of the violation whispers either. Time will tell but he's off to a hell of a start with no slowing down in sight either...

Dabo has an uphill battle because so many guys down here want to play in the SEC, but he has a good pitch which is that Clemson will always be in the hunt to win the ACC and make the playoff. Aside from 'Bama, no one in the SEC can say the same, so Dabo can walk into Georgia, Florida, Tennessee and NC and pull legit talent out of those places (and his success has given him a lot of leverage over the best kids out of South Carolina) and Clemson ain't too bad of a drive for the parents to go to games. Clemson has like 5 or 6 guys on defense who are projected first or high second round picks. Their only question is QB play because they are a bit inexperienced there, but the talent that Dabo has amassed with no sign of impropriety is amazing. Until I moved to the South I had no idea why someone wouldn't want to play in the Big Ten, but I gotta say some of the schools in the South are really impressive. If I visited Knoxville, TN or Clemson, SC in November and then had a Big Ten visit the next week, it would be damned hard to go to the Big Ten.

And I agree with you on Rudock. If he had Bama's line, run game and WRs the guy would have won a title. I mean Harbaugh got him a sniff at the NFL, so the kid wasn't a slouch, just wasn't the right guy for Iowa.

I have loved watching Pierschbacher thrive at 'Bama. The kid is an absolute monster and as a fifth year senior this year he is going to absolutely maul guys. Honestly, the Clemson-'Bama game in the playoffs is going to be a treat for guys who like to see great line play because Clemson is stacked on the d-line and 'Bama is stacked on the o-line. It will surpass all Big Ten games by a factor of 10, save for perhaps watching Bosa and company tussle with Wisconsin assuming both teams make the title game.

The other thing about Dabo is I don't get the feeling he's going anywhere anytime soon... I don't think he has NFL aspirations and Clemson sure seems to be his 'dream job'. He may be in the mix to do his thing there a long time. Taking advantage of Miami and FSU not doing so hot lately hasn't hurt and there's the possibility down the road of those schools coming back but for now Dabo and Saban are royalty in the coaching world and their the ones looking down on everyone else.

Dabo was just inducted into the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame. I think he is call #1 when Nick retires and that is the only job I could see him taking. Bama had such a bad run between Bear and Nick with IIRC only one title that Stallings won and they will do whatever is necessary to get Dabo. Maybe they go hire Kirby if Dabo turns them down, but I think Kirby is from Georgia. Aside from those two, I have no idea who you hire if you're Bama. You watch teams like Texas and Michigan just go to absolute shit after a regime change and it puts into perspective how important it is to be right when you make a change.

It is obvious that Rudock could have given you what AJ McCarron and Greg McElroy did.

Alabama is as dirty as it gets too. Do some research.
