Unbelievable

Ohio State gets swept by PSU. MSU loses at home to Nebraska. Etcetera, etcetera. Are their fans' heads exploding? I doubt it. Grow up, people. It's just a game.

I bet a lot of their fans' have exploding heads.

And there is a difference, MSU has been consistently top 15-20 and a lot of top 10 for 20 years. And they are still very tough this year,

And OSU has been really good the last few years and very good over last 15 with some cheating and other things going on,

So all in all these fans cant ***** too hard about a few losses.

Yeah but MSU has proven time and time again that they will be in the tournament come March...and will probably be a team to contend with any given year. This Iowa staff so far has proven that when the lights are the brightest...they don't have the team ready to play.

Well where do I begin on this one...

Another post telling people they shouldn't be upset when people are perfectly rational for being upset.... because they simply don't want this team to miss the NCAA again - it would be a heartbreaker big time.

How is this hard to understand? I'm not saying they will miss it... but they are building pressure on themselves big time.

Also how do you know OSU fans are not ********? I bet they are

But here is the biggest thing and why even if thy weren't this is such a horrible comparison that didn't teach us any lesson.

OSU has been to the NCAA tourney 7 out of the past 8 years....

They aren't even in the same ball park of yearning as our fans are.

I can't speak for OSU fans, but Wisconsin and MSU fans have definitely gone through stretches like this this season. Vadger fans, in particular.

How much are the players at fault? Coaches get too much blame and credit when losses or wins happen.

Also, if you think this Iowa team didn't still have some serious flaws heading into this season, you were blind.

I think most felt the biggest flaw (failing to win close big games) would have been solved after all the experience they gained last year. But instead, we stand at 5-15 in games decided by single digits over the last two seasons.

Being told to not be unhappy about our loss because the other teams lost is ludicrous.

Does that mean we can't be happy when we win if the other teams win?

And if it's just a game, why are you on the message board scolding others?

Solid logic right here. Commence melting down hawk fans.

pretty much anyone who uses the line "It's just a game" needs to find some new cliché material.

It's "just a game" is why sports is some pro athletes make 20 mil a year...

Now you could argue we have backwards measurements of importance in our society...

but I'd bury the "it's just a game" line somewhere

Only in the big ten would this be acceptable wow..

1. Who says it's acceptable?

2. Kentucky lost to Arkansas (a bubble team) twice this year. Syracuse lost at home to Boston College (who is downright awful, 7-21 with a single win in the entire month of February). There are worse losses by top teams this year than a battered MSU squad losing at home to Nebraska.

Some of u you guys are comparing our situation to MSU, OSU, WISKY, Syracuse... These are top programs and have been for some time now, we have not. LOL. C'mon guys, we have a very talented team that did not reach its potential this year for whatever reason. There isn't a fan base in America that wouldn't be ticked off about it. I don't care the seed at this point, pumped to see them play in the big tourney.

It's just a game.

Ukraine is real life. My kids are real life. Sofia Vergara is real life.

I guess if you look at the surface yes. If you dig deeper and look at player by player, I think you would see a lot of incompletes.

I nominate this for post of the year. Moar Sofia Viagra.

At any rate, of course we are upset that Iowa is on a 3 game skid. I think what some are rightfully saying is that it is a matter of perspective. Some posters in the last few years have absolutely posted insane stuff when Iowa has been losing. I personally think it's getting worse over time. It really is just a game.

Well stated and right on the mark.
