Um... Oh boy...

Old news. Nothing to it. Had Johnson gotten a job here or McAfee came here, then there would be something, but as it is it looks like FH told them to take a hike.

Welcome to Monday. If you listen to it, you will know that ISU didn't do anything. Just an AAU coach trying to use his player to get a D1 assistant job and ISU didn't give it to him. We recruited McAfee for about a week and you can tell why

I read the article and also saw the time stamp - but it just seems that these types of stories in both sports are coming out like wildfire now. Seems like it's gonna get interesting.

Welcome to Wednesday Cy - I think it's gonna be a GREAT day!

These things happen alot more than most of us know and have forever.
Information and communitcation is just so much better these days that when something comes out everyone knows right away.
I heard of and witnessed some things during my kids recruiting.
Its like cheating on your spouse. Seen it a million times but only a small fraction ever come to light and even fewer are seen as a big deal.

I hope you got paid :)

Seriously, with facebook, twitter, and every asshat known to man able to start a blog, you'd have to be a total moron to think you can do anything in secret.

When did this allegedly happen? I don't put much stock in it, just curious if it was McDerrmot (sp?) or Hoiberg's reign.

Hoiberg's reign. Nothing to it. DSM Registers Tom Witosky spent the last week trying to find anything to ruin Iowa State basketball. He broke down and wept when he realized there was nothing to this story

So, Iowa State had an opening for an assistant coach. They perhaps interviewed the man in question. The man in question has connections to players and says he'll funnel money to the AAU coach. The man is not hired at ISU. The player is not coming to ISU.

Is that all right?

Dana and David Pump -- known collectively as the "Pump Brothers," which might be the greatest name for two shady college basketball power brokers of all time.

Wonder where the Pump Brothers grew up?
at Bel-Air Prep in West Hollywood

Must be a coincidence. No way ISU has a connection to the Pump Brothers, right?

Now check this out:
Otzelberger spent the 2005-06 season with the Los Angeles-based Double Pump Elite, a prominent organization which operates basketball events that attract the nation’s best players to help them gain exposure. In his only season with the club, Otzelberger coached Alex Stepheson (USC), Alex Jacobson (Arizona) and Oregon State’s Calvin Haynes.

Take some time to visit CF. Meltdowns are fun to watch. They thought Hoiberg would be the savior of Hilton Magic, only to find out, he's the one to bring ISU basketball to its knees.

Choose School A, $25,000K or choose school B and get 1 night with Demi Moore . They should make a move about it, Oh wait..:)

there is not a single rational ISU fan that would agree with this.

there is nothing to the story posted by the OP, as it has already been discredited multiple times in the ten other threads already discussing it.
