Ultimate Troll Job On Brian

For those of you not familiar with the website Cameo, it’s a place where you can pay money to a celebrity to have them shoot a personalized video clip to you or a friend etc. Like if your buddy’s favorite actor is say, Danny Glover or whatever, you can pay a fee and Danny Glover will shoot a video wishing him happy birthday for example. The celebrities set the fee and get the money.

Anyway, someone is going around on Cameo posing as friends of a guy named ‘Brian’ who’s down on his luck, had a hard go of it in the family business and is moving back to ‘New England.’ As a guy with a dark sense of humor I find this a genius-level troll job. Out fucking standing.

This guy tricked Bob Stoops and Fran into it. For those of you wondering why Stoops and Fran are on Cameo, they donate their money to charity.

you know my brother sent this to me last night and thought, that's nice. And I didn't connect it with BF. In fact someone I know had a 2 minute cameo from Terry Hanraty of the Steelers/Notre Dame fame.

Then this morning it hit me. LMFAO

I'd love to be on the phone when Kirk and Brian call stoops up to talk about this.

Thanks for clearing this up. I saw these last night and was wondering what the hell was going on.

Here's another troll (not a Cameo) from Lucy Rohden that was shared on here last night. This one is the funniest IMO.


 
Does a little part of you wonder if both Stoops and McCafferey knew what was going on, but just played dumb and did it anyway?
 
So Patrick McCafferey tweeted that this troll raising $60 that went to beat cancer is a fair trade:


A couple of people already replied and said they would gladly contribute to the same cause to reward the troll. It would be a cool story if the Hawks Fans' collective anger at their offense, and overall appreciation for a good joke, ended up raising a boat load of money to beat cancer. I think I will make a donation, myself.

Of course Fran has to be pissed because he realizes that next Franuary, or immediately following his routine early exit from the tournament, there is going to be a whole host of these things going after him and he doesn't like it.

Stoops I could see a tiny little bit, but Fran, zero chance.

He knows what it’s like to be on the bad side of fans and the media and there’s no way he’d do that to another coach.
 
I 100% believe Stoops, at the very least, suspected it was a troll. 75% chance he considered leaning in to it.
50% chance he had to do multiple takes to keep from snickering.

100% McCaffery fell for it.

Also, can they play this on the big screen at the end of the third quarter? And we can all wave to Brian? Wave goodbye?

This is what I would believe. This is the kind of shit that would embarrass Fran. I wouldn't be surprised if he contacted Brian to apologize and explain he had no idea.

I bet you his face is beet red at this moment and all day.
