Don't ducks live on ponds and marshes? What's with the trees? Shouldn't the court have a water theme and maybe they could call it "the Pond" or something? Do ducks call the forest their home? With those feet? I think not! As a matter of fact, I think only the wood duck even ventures into trees. The rest hang out on water and nest in grassy areas.

Hawks on the other hand spend a lot of time in trees so the Hawks will feel right at home on the Duck's court.

Mentioned in a different thread, those letters spell Matt. He is the person who the floor is named after, Matthew Knight, Phil Knight's son who died at 34 in a sccuba diving accident.
