Tyler Ulis

Do you really think he ever considered iowa? Seriously? Fran could say he offered anybody. Why would he consider Iowa?

Yeah, Fran just made it all up....It was a big conspiracy, he never took his official visit to Iowa at all.....

Four-star point guard Tyler Ulis, a 5-foot-9, 160-pound player for Marian Catholic High School in Chicago Heights, Ill., received a scholarship offer from the University of Kentucky basketball team last month during an unofficial visit to Lexington, and he’ll return for an official visit on Monday. He is also considering Iowa, where he visited officially over the weekend, and Michigan State, where he’ll visit officially on Friday. He’ll go straight from East Lansing to UK. He said in a phone interview with The Courier-Journal on Tuesday that he has eliminated Southern California from consideration.
How did the visit to Iowa go?
It went great. It was pretty fun, and I had a good time with the team.
They were one of the first teams to get involved with you and make you an offer, correct?
Yeah.
Is that a reason why you are considering Iowa – that they you have been involved with them for a long time?
No, I just like Coach (Fran) McCaffery and the team and what he’s about. That’s why I’m still looking at them.
Anything that stood out about the visit there?
Just Coach McCaffery and his family and how the team is just one big family. They’re all close.

Fran was at his high school game where he played against Tyus Jones. Calipari was there for one last ditch effort to get Jones even though it was obvious he was going to Duke. It was ridiculous for him to even be there trying at that point.

Ulis outplayed Jones head to head that game. Jones committed to Duke. Calipari offered Ulis after that. If Calipari doesn't go to that game, or if Ulis didn't play so good at it, Ulis would be in an iowa uniform right now.

Ulis has his pick of weapons at Kentucky. He'd have none at Iowa.

Ulis would be the weapon if he were at iowa. He would make all of our players better weapons than they are now.

Kentucky's other weapons are what allows them go to Louisville and win in a hostile environment in a huge rivalry game. Ulis might not make us good enough to beat a team as good as Louisville in a situation like that, but no other team besides Kentucky could probably do that anyway.
