We celebrate the Yanda hit, but this is a problem? The whistle hadn't blown and he gets him clean on the side. He just got freaking lit up! Dude totally rag dolled him!

Seriously, take off the Black and Gold goggles and watch it again. It is freaking epic.

Totally This.
TMFS got lit up, it was awesome, and totally clean & legal.
Furthermore, I bet he learned to keep his head on a swivel in the future, and know who is on his flank.

Its called football if bob sanders did that to someone it'd be the greatest play ever but it happens to sash and its the cheapest shot ever. It's football people come on.

Totally agree... when I saw the hit and replay I was like "TS just got his arse handed to him..."

Part of the game... been on both sides of those type of plays... it is what it is - football.

I don't consider this hit to be dirty at all. But Yanda's hit was different. The guy he hit was actually in position to possibly make a play. This hit served no purpose other than to light a guy up.

I don't really consider that hit to be dirty. Was it a cheap shot? Sure. But it wasn't dirty. Those don't necessarily mean the same thing.

I don't think you're necessarily ugly, just incredibly unattractive.

:)

Yeah, you are correct about that. It was completely unnecessary.

At least Sash gets the last laugh.

It's more like a broken bat blooper that drops in for a hit in baseball. Still counts as a hit, but it was a cheap one, and not one worth bragging about. It was a totally legal play (therefore not dirty), but it was a hit that served no purpose (as the play was essentially over), and not one that I would pound my chest over.

There really is a subtle difference between "dirty" and "cheap".

It's football...they're ALL looking to blow someone up...even if they all preach "We never want to see anyone get hurt" til they're blue in the face. They put bounties on other players, defensive players level offensive players when there's a turnover, WRs look to decleat unsuspecting defensive players on reverses...and yes, they will also decleat former Hawkeyes when everyone is letting up because the play is heading for the sidelines. It has always been like that and always will be...and the only cure is...keeping your head on a swivel...:D

Those are the type of hits that shorten a man's career...and life. I can't imagine what his parents must have thought after seeing that.
