Tyler Sash 'remarkable"

and while that is good for iowa, that is not so good for iowa, if you know what i mean. our safety play the past several years has been something probably taken for granted by many.....

Exactly, nobody realized how huge losing 2 NFL LB's was or a NFL TE until the season started. I hope that we can come close to the play we've had the last few years. That would be great.

a good percentage of safeties that have left iowa over the years have ended up in the nfl. we have sent had too much trouble replacing them and I'm not worried about it now.

I think it is like most years, in that we will be ok if we avoid the injury bug. Last year would have been much better at the LB position if we didn't have so many injuries there.

In all fairness, it wasn't a huge deal on the LB's until we lost all the guys that were still here too. Without injuries, the LB's would have been good last year. But I do agree with your point, and I am very happy to see the slow, white, short, over-rated Sash getting such high praise.

I'm not trying to say we will see the same drop off as we did with the LBs last year, but don't expect the same level. It may be a little less, that's why I thought it was silly to predict an undefeated season last year. But I'm always playing it a little safe with my enthusiasm.

He's too slow, I have no clue why he didn't stick around for his senior year, he made a mistake and clearly won't ever amount to anything in the NFL.

Most of those interceptions he got at Iowa were just lucky. It's not like he's consistently in the right place at the right time in training camp, even with the holdout (no mini-camps, no OTA's, nothing). Oh wait........

about the only one i can think of that didnt get a shot is miguel merrick and he gets smoked by me in WDM flag football league LOL

i stand corrected...he must have fallen off quickly:)

Yes, and I wouldn't guarantee it, but I do watch that stuff pretty close….I’m pretty certain. I will agree of all our safeties over the last 10 years, he was the least gifted on the field of play, but I think his look was as much indicative of Iowa’s rep as anything.
