Tyler Sash N.Y. Giants Facebook player of the week

I have the V6...and a heavy foot...and I average 23 mpg combined. Highway only, up around 28-30 if you stay near the limit and use cruise control.
The V6 is 270 HP - it's a terrific powerplant. I haven't lost a drag race yet.
LOVE the car; best vehicle I've ever owned, hands down.

Edit: what is a "swagger wagon"??

More Sash love today. Especially with the news that Giants Prince Amukamara has broken foot. Sash is opening up eye in New York in a big, big way.

Aaron Ross' refusal to play safety may open doors for Tyler Sash

The first and most sensible possibility under consideration would be to use Aaron Ross in Thomas' role, but Ross has already stated that he would not be willing to play safety. This leaves the Giants in need of some contributions from Tyler Sash, a 6th round draft pick out of Iowa in April's draft.

Sash has been taking reps with the first team defense and is expected to contribute to the defense early and often in 2011. This should be no tall task for Sash, who was a defensive captain and a candidate for both the Ronnie Lott and Bronco Nagursi awards during his tenure at Iowa (designating the nations best safety and best defensive player respectively).

"Again, he hasn’t made a live tackle in the NFL yet and I’m already penciling him in as a 10-year veteran. I know, crazy talk. But I can’t help it. To see him be in the right place so often in a year where the rookies had no offseason workouts, OTAs or minicamps is quite remarkable," Mike Garafolo of The Star-Ledger wrote this morning.

I suppose he's just getting lucky again . The guy is always in the right place at the right time, and that's not simply luck. The guy just has a nose for the ball, and if he keeps this up, he'll be the steal of the draft (by far).

In the video the announcer says sash is learning to play coverage instead of being around the LOS like he did in college. What? TMFS was always playing coverage what films were they watching?

He made quite a few TFL while he was at Iowa. He was in on 14 TFL in three seasons, as a safety, on a team that didn't blitz much. He wasn't necessarily assigned to the LOS, but he made a lot of plays at the LOS. Just more of his ballhawking ability on display.

The Insight Bowl had plenty of instances where he hovered around in coverage about 10-12 yards off the LOS, and then when Gabbert scrambled to Sash's side of the field, or stumbled, whatever, it was like blood in the water, and Sash was all over the play.
