My friend, The Shadow, tells me that Keno Davis is the leader in the clubhouse. But Coach Fran is still on the course.



I hold a little more hope for Eric Katenda, if he qualifies.

They're pretty confident on the Friar boards that he's going to Providence.

According to an analyst's twitter post, Mr. Harris has made his mind up and will announce as expected on Friday.

I am still very hopeful that it will be Iowa, but will not be disappointed if it is not.

In college basketball it only takes one or two recruits to make a big change because only 5 players start unlike football where 22+ kickers/special teams, etc. No matter how great a coach you have without the players he is offering signing you won't be as good.
He has been offered... he has been invited to be a Hawkeye... he seems to be the type of player Iowa needs really bad. This is why I am so sick of these Iowa kids going somewhere else like Wisconsin, North Carolina, Kansas. If they would all just stick together we could be those teams. So now... we have to go outside the box. We have to find players that are ready to go, players that have a chip on their shoulder, and willing to take it to the hoop and give it hell. From what I have seen and read, Katenda and Harris both are those type of players. Just getting one will give the Hawkeyes some Ammo for putting together a 2012 class that would include a great point guard. Run and hustle, play lights out. Perhaps Marble is the diamond in the rough? Perhaps May and Gatens will be a lot better in a less restrictrive offense? Perhaps all we need is a couple of others on the team to step up to the plate or a recruit or two to put us over the edge of winning/losing?
I am so excited for this season to see what kind of games we can expect to see out of the new coaching staff. It would be so awesome to have Iowa basketball back.
If Iowa starts winning... watch out! Hawkeye fans are just waiting to erupt. Winters are longer and colder without good Hawkeye basketball.
Vast improvements can start with a couple of YES... I will be a Hawkeye... I am on board! I mean... why wouldn't you be upset if he says he doesn't accept?
