Two very average teams

It hit me, neeither is a bad team but neither are especially strong 9 win caliber teams. ISU is better than usual, but Iowa is meh

I disagree. We played without an injured LD, Ott, Duzey, Kittle, Mitchell, and Mabin for part of the game. We hung 31, on the road, against an instate P5 rival. We have warts, but so do most teams...

Of course, there from Iowa. Absolutely no high school talent. It is really amazing how horse dung is Iowa high school football..

I think you're kidding yourself if you think ISU isn't a good team. They are going to compete in a lot of games this year, with an exciting as hell offense.

Our defense and (gasp) special teams came up big today, which should be an exciting sign. As long as our offense finds its rythmn this year, I can see 8-9 wins.

Upon further review...............

Iowa is showing that they are way ahead of where they were at this time last season. Both on D and O. That's good. Maybe this will become an 8 to 9 win team.

Bar none we are 2-0. There are a lot of teams that cannot say that including according top some people the heir apparent down at Arkansas. I will take wins any way we can get them. I look for improvement every week and I think we took a step forward. Lots of good things to take away including some movement from past tendencies.

Clearly you don't know football? That's the best ISU team Ive seen since Senica Wallace and we handled them 31-17

I think Paul Rhoads was intentionally trying to lose the game with the 4th down in the second quarter and the strange offensive calls in the second half.

While I hope ISU is a good team this year, cause that makes this a quality win....I remain skeptical that they will look as good as they did in the 1st half, again.

CJB is the difference maker........he makes a 6 or 7 win team a 8 or 9 win team.

ISU will most certainly struggle the rest of the year if they can't find a ground game, if they do they could win 5 or 6
