Two Hawks Starting At Opposing LB Tonight

Mind-numbingly stupid call by Reid to have the already-dinged Mahomes run a 2nd qtr keeper leads to another injury for the qb.

Duuuuumb!

We’ve got 2 varsity left, we’re not good at all this year, no playoffs.
We're going to miss playoffs for the first time since 2010.

But the JV is 6-2 with one game remaining and the freshmen finished their season tonight at 4-1. And a lot of sophomores who would normally be playing JV have been playing full time varsity for over a month. Our JV team is mostly freshmen.

Neimann had a real good game when he had a man to get in space. Ran quick to the running back/receiver in the flat and stuck the tackle

What about a qb keeper puts him anymore at risk than dropping back in the pocket? I guess I'm the KC fan that has no problem with the call regardless of the outcome. So if the scenario were different and he got hit in the pocket and injured would it have been a stupid call as well. I get protect the QB, but IMO it was the right call it's just unfortunate he got hurt.

That's the point right there.

IF he got hit in the pocket. On a keeper you know he's gonna get hit.

The Chiefs aren't a good enough team to not throw the ball, so whoever the qb is has to throw- no options. But you don't have to have the qb run.

I don't remember if it was before that play or on an earlier short yardage play, but Aikman talked about "I doubt if we see a keeper, because you never know what's gonna happen in those piles."

To me, it clearly wasn't worth the risk. If they were in the playoffs, sure maybe you do it. But in the 2nd qtr against a bad team? No.

Tom Brady is 106 and he runs the QB sneak multiple times a game. :)
