Two Deeps--LB

Morris starting at MLB with DiBona as backup. Johnson starting at Will with Kirksey as backup. Pretty exciting to see Morris in the middle, and 3 of 4 ILB (if I can count WLB as and ILB) as freshmen. Too bad no Hunter or Tarp, though.

It'd be great to have Tarp and Hunter for sure, particularly Tarp considering the offensive schemes we're going to see the next two weeks. But it is exciting to see that Morris is starting again. He's got all the tools to be the best under Ferentz, if not in school history. Whether he lives up to that potential or not has yet to be seen. But the ability is there.

A little confused by Tarp's absence on the two-deeps considering he played on Saturday. Did he get hurt during the game or are they just being cautious with him?

My guess is Option B.

He didn't start or play that much in Saturday's game, so I don't think it'd make sense to put him in the two-deeps. He is still limited.
