Two-Deep for Nebraska Game

Smith or ISM should be starting at both WR and PR over MVB. This isn't brain surgery.

Evidently, it is. But I actually think we're better off just going for the block from now on. Maybe keep Jewell as "safety" ten yards off the LOS. Keep doing it until we can "execute" without roughing the kicker. Field position certainly can't be any worse.

Apparently Soup was the only coach over the last decade who was able to get the kids to learn how to catch. We had issues before he was hired on, and then we had a nice little run of DJK, McNutt and others who stepped up their game with pass catching. Soup leaves, and we're back to 55 drops a game (or what feels like)

I actually think it's the fact that we compress the offense and take so little chances downfield and in space that our guys one, feel the heat from defenders in that 10 yard box, and two, don't get enough chances in the game to get into a rhythm.

When MVB is dropping passes left and right, I feel like it goes on the former above. The kids are trying way too hard to make a play in an offense that isn't really designed for them.

so does MVB and Easley, this season. go with the young kids.
Easley is 10 times the receiver MVB is. If he had had a couple more years here to start out and come up in a B1G environment I think you’d see comparisons between him and Tim Dwight without the kick returning bonus.

The mistakes Easley makes are ones of inexperience, not incompetence. He’s got a lot of fire and can go across the middle a lá Wes Welker or Cole Beasley. He just didn’t get enough time at a big program to get the most out of himself. Hopefully next year he can polish it up a little.

If you listen to Iowa media types, they'll say Soup was lazy and that's why Kirk gave him the pink slip. Lol

I am so tired of these media types who do nothing but pass judgment on and criticize the staff. What ever gave them the right to do that?

fry, he also has about 10 drops this season. he had 5 drops in a 2 game stretch. he may be fearless, but his hands aren't reliable. that is my point. Yes, I know ISM's hands aren't either, but, to me, ISM has way more potential and should be given every opportunity to succeed or fail. B.Smith should as well. And while we're at it, I feel the same for Cooper.
