TV for game this weekend....

Anyone know of a website to watch the game this weekend if the BTN isn't covering it in your area? I wasn't able to pick up the first game either. Seeing that it is the BTN, does JustinTV or any of the other website not able to broadcast it? Thanks in Advance...

I know this doesn't help you at all....and isn't intended to sound like a jerk.
But a large percentage of Iowa Athletics will be aired on the Big Ten Network this year and forever. If I didn't live locally, I would force myself to find a cable/satellite provider with that network.
I can't imagine being in your shoes where you don't have an option of watching it.
Have you considered Dish? Some great deals with Satellite right now.

As for your question...When I look for events online, I always use these sites:
Justin.tv - Streaming live video broadcasts for everyone
Watch Online TV, Sports, News and Entertainment for free at channelsurfing
Try this site. I've never used it, but just stumbled upon it. Make sure you click schedule to see which games will be televised.

The Big Ten Network has overflow channels to show all the games. If you have a crappy provider that doesn't let you see those, you need to cancel and get Direct TV or another decent provider.

I can't imagine paying money for cable if they didn't show Hawkeye games.

I've got DirecTV, tried to set the DVR tonight for the game and it isn't listed yet on any of the BTN channels and I live in central IA.

I was thrown at first this week. I live in Kansas City and my BTN is 610, usually the overflow channels are 611, 612 etc. Didn't see the game at first but it was on 609. It was there yesterday so you might want to double check.

Not all HOA's allow a dish to hang off your roof.

Great site that someone linked to earlier on this board. Always shows DirecTv, Dish, AT&T and Fios. Plus, it let's you type in your Zip Code and provider to find out what BTN channel the game will be on this week...

That and most HOA's don't prohibit you from hanging it on a pole from somewhere in your yard. Usually if you mention that to them- they'll let you hang it from your roof.

So, it appears that one cannot stream the game live, if at all, from the BigTen network. Do Iowa games actually appear live on JustinTV or those other sites? It seems hard to believe.

This site works very well. I watched the Iowa State Game as it was blacked out on ESPN 3 for me.

Works very well. In fact you can watch nearly every televised game in the nation on it.
HOWEVER BTN is almost always sent to overflow channels.

Check with the BTN they list the overflows.

I had trouble interpreting what the BTN was selling too. I think you can watch it live streaming??

IIRC, Big Ten Network's football streams are only available outside the US.

As for availability on a site like Justin.tv, it's going to be hit or miss. I certainly wouldn't depend on it.
