Turns out Nova whipped the Canes just as bad.

Nova played some of the best defense I have seen all season last Sunday. If they continue to shoot well, they might just be the team to beat.

I wouldn't say just as bad, they were up on us over 30 and then stopped playing. Impressive none the less. They are a great team right now

I didn't get to see the game other than a few minutes early in the game but in that short time diarchiano or whatever his name is hit two impossible shots, one was an and one and he also forced a steal that lead to him getting fouled and hit the two free throws.

Man I just like that kids game.

Nova seems to be on a mission. Makes me feel a BIT better about the loss (not much) I guess.

Seems we've been getting teams in the 2nd round who are branded with the "they can't get past the 2nd round" tag and are playing with a chip on their shoulders. The Zags last year.

Would be nice if Iowa was the "buzz saw" every once in a while, though.

Weird that we played the team on a roll in the 2nd round. Has that ever happened to iowa before?

See almost every year Iowa has made the dance since 1989. It's not because we played poorly those years but that the other teams were just on rolls.

well, doesn't exactly make anybody feel better on this site and it didn't change the fact that Iowa didn't play defense that entire game

I think it was just as bad. Miami hit a 3 or 4 minute spurt where they made 7 out of 8 shots and got within 6 late in the 1st half. Take away that brief burst and they were never a factor in this game...and probably would have been behind by 30 early.

I think the winner of the Villanova vs. Kansas game is the favorite. Kansas opened -3 and is currently -2.5. Villanova is still 7/1 to win the national championship. The four 1 seeds and Oklahoma have lower odds. I'm happy to be holding a ticket at 25/1 the way they are playing.
