Trump supporters, how do you square this?

Here's a question for you guys. Say Trump's daughter's diary got stolen and she talked about her dad showering with her making her feel so uncomfortable she would sneak into the shower late at night. Then the person who stole the diary rightfully got thrown in jail. If you googled "Ivanka Trump's diary" do you think the stories that came up would be of the person getting thrown in jail, or the fact that her dad showered with her past an appropriate age?

I personally never showered with my daughters but I can get on board with the thought that some dads do. I can also get on board with a dad innocently not realizing his daughter is getting too old to do it, so I could allow a little grace period there. But here's the problem. She started sneaking into the shower to avoid the awkwardness of it all and he would hear her in the shower and join her. There's no excuse for that. Imagine being a dad sitting in his recliner and hearing the shower turn on, then jumping up and stripping down to jump in with her.

You really need to get better at reading posts man.
I think I understand your position. I'm pointing out you'd have to be completely goofy to vote for increased taxes for middle class, decreased taxes for the ultra wealthy, significantly decreased government revenue, and an acceleration of the federal deficit. :)

Hey westernhawk, we are saying the same thing here.
Yes, understood. I don't understand why you support him, though, considering everything. I just added a post previous to this.

Unless of course you make around $400k per year or more... then I would totally understand why you adore Trump. Otherwise, you're voting against your own interests, which is certainly your right.

Thanks. I think Ashley, in this story, feels quite traumatized that her diary was stolen and made public. That seems pretty reprehensible, no?

Also, she said this (from the story you linked):

Repeatedly, I hear others grossly misinterpret my once-private writings and lob false accusations that defame my character and those of the people I love.

I'm a small business owner and the last four years were worse for me than the previous four. But honestly, the difference wasn't enough to earn my vote either way. I think what happened at the border the last four years ago was a malicious act and whoever was pulling the strings for Biden either has a personal vendetta against America or is compromised through bribery or blackmail. There is nothing convincing me that those same people will be pulling the strings for Harris too. Trump at least says the right things like America first and cleaning up corruption. The Biden/Harris regime don't even bother to say the right things.

Very reprehensible. That's why I said the person responsible deserved what she got.

I read that quote too. There's nothing else she can say in that situation. The exact words in her diary aren't words that can be misrepresented. They could be made up lies. But if they aren't lies, they mean what they mean.

Had you never heard of the diary before?

I agree with you. I can't imagine being a dad sitting in the recliner and responding that way, assuming that's how it went.

Well that was an interesting read. I got to say that most forum posters, if not all kept their cool with their personal opinions. That's probably a record for sure for Hawkeye Nation. Forty-three pages and no personal attacks against anyone on here.

I agree with Fryowa's comments that most politicians a POS. I've known a few. both sides of the isle.

I saw a Harris tweet that they are working on finalizing a bill that makes it so medical bills won't go on your credit score. I like that idea.

I remember all the talk 4 years ago about whether or not Trump would pardon himself. He said why would he because he didn't do anything wrong. What do you guys think of Biden pardoning all these people? Does that prove to you they did something wrong? A lot of people on here completely trusted the legal system when it was Trump being prosecuted. Do you people trust the same legal system to clear Fucci, Miley, and the Jan 6th committee if they didn't commit crimes? Or was this never about trusting the legal system and it was only about siding with "your team"?

In my opinion, pardoning people who haven't even been charged with a crime is extremely corrupt no matter who does it. It's also very damning. If Biden didn't pardon them, the whole world would know covid was a money making scam (and possibly a depopulation operation) and Jan 6th was a false flag operation. Why else pardon them? Especially with the Jan 6th committee. If that day really played out like they say it did, Trump would want that story to go away. Not make it front page news with a public trial. Just because no one can be held accountable doesn't mean an investigation can't be done tho. Hopefully they still make it a priority to uncover everything Biden's handlers are trying to keep hidden with these pardons.

Speaking if Biden's handlers. Did anyone see the interview with Mike Johnson where he talked about a conversation he had with Biden where Biden had no idea he signed an executive order? Someone was sliding papers in front of him to sign. Is that just something people don't believe truly happened? Or just don't care?

I believe he pardoned them so that Trump couldn't go after them for revenge. They didn't kiss the ring. Other than money, Trump is driven by revenge.

I don't think giving pardons for something you didn't do is a good thing, but didn't a bunch of people ask Trump for them before he left office??
