Trivia Question on Hawk-Clone National Championship Match-ups

When was the last time(year) a Hawk and Clone met in the finals of the NCAA Tourney where a Hawk was the champion? Who was the champ and who did they beat?

Same question but where a Clone was the champion? Who did they beat?
 


The last Hawk over Clone in the finals that I can remember is Eric Juergens beating Cody Sanderson.

I have a feeling that we would have to go back even further to have the clone over the Hawk... I really can't remember ANY in the 20+ years that I have been following Iowa wrestling!
 




Yup thats correct 2000 was the last time a hawk beat a clone
and 1987 was the last time a clone beat a hawk
 


I was pretty sure that Juergens was the last one with McIllravy over Bono probably being next.

I'm a little surprised I came up with Krieger over Heffernan and that it was the last time. It seems crazy that it's been 23 years!!
 


yeah both numbers were shocking to me its been 10 years since they have even met in the finals... yeah both schools had a couple years where they were down a bit

yea i know its a d3 school i heard he was going to iowa lakes after he wasn't given the simpson college job
