Tressel hires former NCAA Committee on Infractions chair as his lawyer

I was under the impression that he was of such high moral fiber that needing legal counsel was beneath him.

Of course he's gone...this isn't the SEC...this much rampant cheating sticks out like a sore thumb...he should've won the BCS title so it would all get swept under the rug...

The longer this is drawn out, the worse it will be for O$U. With more time available for scrutiny there will be more eyes looking into every aspect of their athletic program. Which can only have an even worse outcome for these cheaters than if sweatervest left today.

YES, and I pray that just like court cases it drags on and on and on. The more people that keep sniffing around the better. Dumb ***** like Tressel think they are god and do as they like, and they can ,as long as you lie low and don't make too big of a deal out of things. But once the damn is broke is just swimming up stream unil there's no water left.
Good job sweater vest we can count on you to keep digging the hole deeper.

Can't blame the sweatervest. The way the Newton family pulled the wool over the NCAA's eyes, why wouldn't Jim try his luck. Not saying it's right, but the Newton fiasco made the NCAA look absolutely stupid and anything but credible. Unfortunately for the sweatervest the NCAA came to and decided to drop the hammer rather than pretend to look the other way.
