Travis and Tim are idiots....

And yet Iowa is 7 wins and 9 losses against Iowa State in the last 16 games. Amazing

ISU has only won 9 games in a season ONCE EVER.

ISU has won 8 games in a season 4 times in the past century.

So yeah, those radio guys are not only idiots, but also completely ignorant of the history of the teams they get paid to talk about.

..And I love the tool that picks "7-9 over the past 16 years" Like who the hell measures success over "16 years?" Oh year, just a Clown tool that desperately needs to include 5 straight ISU wins when the Hawks were at an historic low period between Fry/Ferentz turnover.

For past 11 years Iowa leads 7-4.

For past 10 years Iowa leads 6-4.

Wanna go longer? For past 20 years Iowa leads 11-9.

For past 25 years Iowa leads 16-9.

For past 30 years Iowa leads 21-9.

Actually, the more I think about it, the more I think CC here would fit right in on that show.

I've gotten used to them, since I listen to about half an hour everyday on my way to work, but Monday morning pi$$ed me off...Travis was gone, so he's off the hook for this one, but I was out of town this past weekend and missed both SoundOFFs on the radio Saturday and the Sunday Night Channel 13 show, so I was looking forward to finding out what the guys had to say about the game. So like an idiot I made sure to catch both hours of the the Monday morning show...

Show rundown:

6-7:30am: Normal non-sports related stuff (briefly) World Series talk the rest of that hour and a half.
7:30-8am(show end) Iowa State Football

Never got to the Iowa-Northwestern game except to say that they would get to the Iowa win and Iowa State loss going into each commercial break.

Tim just said that he's leaving for Houston and tomorrow is his last day. Hopefully they can get an upgrade in there...hopefully.

I'm guessing they just let Ross do the show with Travis and bring in a new producer.

Over those 16 years, Iowa has two conference titles, 2 BCS Bowl appearances, 4 top 8 finishes, Nationally, and bowl wins over Florida, LSU, South Carolina, Missouri, Texas Tech and Georgia Tech. You can give ISU the next two centuries to work with and they will never achieve the success the Iowa program has had in those 16 years you mentioned.
Enjoy your little 6-6 years and bowl games with Tulsa, Miami of Ohio and Rutgers. 3 losses I might add.

You forgot to mention that Ricky Stanzi alone has as many bowl wins as ISU's football program does all-time. :)

Stopped listening long ago. Seeing this only affirms my decision. With the one guy leaving, might give them another chance. But during the college football season, they need to understand that the primary subject of interest for the vast majority of central Iowa listeners is Iowa and Iowa State football. They should talk about both until they're told they're talking about it too much, which I believe might not ever happen.

It's all about ratings. And people flock to negativity, and right now the negativity surrounds the ISU football program so they have spent a lot of time discussing it the programs expectations.

Just take a look around here.... only takes a loss for or even a tough fought win for posters to come out of the woodwork.

Thanks gawd, Tim was the one I couldn't stand. I think Ross does a pretty good job and wouldn't be surprised to see him in there with Travis, especially since they both are doing Soundoff now.

I just hope whoever they get to take over for Tim will be someone who will tell Travis and Ross that when it comes to Iowa and Iowa State, don't be afraid of hitting it BOTH hours...don't "save it for the 7 o'clock hour"...during football and basketball seasons it's totally fine to hit those subjects twice per show because the audience is constantly changing...they never grasped that during their 3 years together.

By the way...good luck in Houston, Tim...the effort was appreciated despite the criticism.
