Traore is in portal

Makes one wonder if that was more of a Ben pushing him out or Traore just deciding to go after having spent some time with coach thing.

If he was urged out, I think that may not have been a good move.
There's a good article on him and creating a culture. He doesn't want moody guys or energy killers, not saying Traore was either one, but he may not have been a fit.

Yes and that's another reason why I don't mind him bringing some guys with him and kind of starting fresh with former players. I think he would of obviously loved Dix or Sandfort though. Bummer. As a fan, I knew we would lose pretty much everyone. Now his guys at Drake bring the winning culture and attitude with them and lead the newer guys and Iowa is that much further ahead because of it. Ben said culture is the people not the place. I am kind of elated we kept Koch. I think he's going to be really good.

Culture is key. So are really good players.

BM has stated he wants players that are humble and want to serve, serve the team, the school, the fans. I''m good with that but what exactly does it mean? I'm guessing we'll have a better feel for it as the roster builds out.

I would guess BM and his two staffers at least met with the leftovers. Then they moved forward.

Interesting list he has there... He's from the NYC area I believe. Seton Hall seems like a good fit. FAU going to Fl would always be nice. As far as fits go those seem like the best. I'd be curious NIL wise which ones are offering the most

Bama is interesting but he struggled to do well with us. So trying to carve out a major role there seems kinda tough. I'm guessing he wants to play more then 16 mins a game and I'm not so sure he could do that there.

I felt his struggles at Iowa were more of him trying to do more than necessary. Forcing things at times. He will grow into a solid player.

He's got the starter kit for it. He's the prototypical SF and athletic. Easy to see why there's interest in him. If he had a better jumper I'd bet Ben woulda had interest in bringing him back.

What he is saying is he want's people who are humble (TEACHABLE) and who want to serve the team (PUTTING OTHERS FIRST a SUM OF ALL PARTS) for the better of the team.
