Tourney Weekend

@Sighhawk @#1DieHardHawk don’t get busy doing yard work and forget it’s on…

Looking at the national rankings is depressing enough, but looking at B1G seeds is downright stupid. Aside from Steveson, PSU has a non-zero shot at sweeping this thing which is pretty tough to recruit against.

We all know the semis and finals are where Carl Sanderson switches into cat and mouse stalling mode and refs are too scared to give them more than one warning. It’s his recipe.

Teemer is the first of how many disappointing losses for Iowa wrestlers at the Big Ten’s? It sure seems like we have a handful of guys wrestle like crap when they’re needed every single season. PSU is Always the exact opposite

Nobody listened to me when I’ve said both of those guys are highly overrated. Like waaaaay overrated.

Next two years are going to be the ones to watch…not this year.

Hopefully Ferrari stays for the next four years. I get why you throw Arnold out there this year with Starocci at the top of the weight class.

Wow. Iowa sucks. Sorry to say but we’re not even #2 anymore. Probably gonna struggle for 4th or 5th at nationals. Parco about to get reached by anlower ranked wreslter

Anyone talking about Teemer’s shoulder injury as an excuse needs to remember a guy named Michael Kemerer. He had the exact same injury his entire last year and people should go look at his performance that year.

At least PSU isn’t running away with this, but unfortunately the Hawks aren’t the ones pushing them. Embarrassing
Penn State is gonna open it up tomorrow. Nebraska doesn’t have enough horses left to keep it going. Wrestle backs still score team points

Looks like the only NCAA championship caliber wrestlers are Ayala, Caliendo and Buchanan. I don’t see anyone else reaching the semi’s.

Take a deep breath, everybody. Yes, Nebraska had a nice tourney and overperformed their seeds. Will they do that again in 2 weeks? No one knows -- they're the same guys that got thumped by UNI earlier this season in Cedar Falls.
This was a disappointing tourney for the Hawks, but it doesn't mean much or change a lot in my opinion. Ayala goes to the NCAAs as the #2 seed instead of #1. Big deal. Buchanan drops to a #2 seed instead of #1. Big deal. Caliendo goes in as #2, same as before. Kennedy entered the BTen tourney as a #4, finished 5th. Arnold, the same. The only concerning thing to me is Teemer -- I don't know what he did after losing in the quarters...did he medical forfeit out the rest of the tourney?
Everybody has known all season that the Nits will win the NCAAs, and everybody else is fighting for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. Nebraska has a good tourney team and will be in that hunt. And Okie State. And Iowa, UNI, Ohio St & Minny (simply because they have a guaranteed national champ).
Game on, man!
