Toren Young Moving On

Toren is a really smart kid and will graduate in May. He's chosen to take a shot at the pros now instead of banging up his body at another school. If it doesn't work out, he moves onto his post-athlete life.

I'm sure there are guys that would transfer and try to become the starter in another program. Maybe he just can't see himself somewhere else.

It makes sense to me.

Can you grad transfer within the conference without a waiver? If so, I just thank the lord that he didn't transfer to Wisconsin. Watching him rack up 1200 yards next year would have ruined me emotionally.

Didn't Ruddock grad transfer to Michigan? Or did Ferentz give him a waiver to do that?

Just saw that Ezra Miller retired from football due to back issues. That sucks. I was really excited to see him anchoring the offensive line eventually.

He did grad transfer, but I don't remember the specifics. Ferentz would have given the waiver bince we didn't have to play Michigan that year, is my guess, if a waiver is required.

Nice back but we are really getting full up at RB. This is just natural attrition. If he looks at playing FB in the pros he might have a shot. Good Luck young man, thanks for your service.

Wisconsin ignored him in high school. I think he'd give them the finger if they came around.

I liked the idea floated here by someone to make him a fullback, but that was us armchair coaches, and not going to happen.

That’s a little bit of a head scratcher to me. There isn’t a worse point in history of the NFL to be a running back in the draft, but I guess if he has his diploma there’s really no harm it other than giving up some time finding his future job. If anything I figured he’d transfer and get another year of playing, if Daniels and Wadley couldn’t land anywhere there isn’t a snowball’s chance in hell that he’s going to.

Won’t know if he never tries. Good luck to him for sure.

It is surprising, he seems to me to be at the Leshun Daniels talent level. Decent college back, nice power, he is a Derek Henry wannabe. Maybe he’ll sign a free agent contract and get a shot
