Being a developmental program, I wish we would recruit speed and develop said players into good football players.
Speed kills, as we saw in the Rose.

JJ Watt received his third top defensive player award last night and told everyone he was a 2 star athlete coming out of high school by the so called experts. He said screw them all, very funny.

I like a lot of the guys we landed in this class. Outside of the top 25 classes there's really not much difference between the next 25 classes. Farniok was always going to Nebraska, and Raridon didn't have interest in Iowa. You can't really do much about that. I strongly believe that Alaric Jackson will end up a better player than Farniok.
I also really like our recruiting class this year as well. One thing that hasn't been mentioned alot lately is the lack of player attrition. Part of the reason for last year's success was the strong senior class, most of those guys stuck around. The upcoming senior class has had a couple more transfers, but it also has mostly stayed on-campus. Not sure what the numbers are for the current underclassmen.
Going into Spring ball last year, the number one concern overall for me was depth. Due to transfers, there was the potential for a drop-off after the starters. For the most part, those concerns were met by guys stepping up that we weren't expecting to (Croston, Hesse, Jackson, etc.) Last year's class was pretty much 100% about developing those guys, only a couple played as true frosh. I think we'll have a couple more contribute from the 2016 recruiting class as true frosh, but hard to say how many.
Overall, more than anything, it really seems like we're starting to build some quality depth. We'll probably lose a couple of guys to transfer (happens to everyone) but I don't know that I see the mass defections that we've seen at times in the past.
As usual, the success of this class will be centered on development and no/low attrition.
