Jon posted this in his daily links yesterday...the Gazette has had some decent coverage of wrestling lately...this was part of an article in the paper that included 5 memorable Hawk wrestlers.

5 Memorable Hawk Wrestlers

1.) Ray Brinzer
2.) Rico Chiaparelli
3.) Jesse Whitmer
4.) Mark Perry
5.) Royce Alger

I probably should have mentioned that the 5 memorable Hawk wrestlers was basically a list of memorable guys who didn't make the top 10.

There real top 10 list of best Iowa wrestlers was the following:

1. Tom Brands
2. Davis
3. Ed Banach
4. McIlravey
5. Lewis
6. Jim Zalesky
7. Ironside
8. Joe Williams
9. Juergens
10. Joes Scarpello

It's hard to argue too much with the top 6 even though I'm not sure of the order. After that it gets interesting. You would have to consider guys like Terry Brands, Chris Campbell, Steiners, Mark Perry, Metcalf, TJ Williams, Duane Goldman, Terry McCann, etc...
