KF is stealing at this point. Nobody in his salary range has come close to the slop put on the field recently. We could pay a third of this and do better. It's absurd at this point. Sickening actually.

It is getting so bad that KF should give up his pay and pay Iowa to coach...
At this point $4 million a year is way way way too much to pay for the performance and results that Ferentz is giving us.
I'm not sure Barta has a clue when it comes to giving raises. When he gave Ferentz that huge raise, I said at the time that it should not be so long term. Now there is nothing Iowa can do even IF they wanted to. Ferentz calls all the shots, not the athletic dept.

see Mack Brown and 2010 Texas Longhorns. 5-7 record. No bowl game. Made $5.1 million. ... all this with a roster full of 4 & 5 star recruits.

KF should give back his salary to the UI. He won't, but he should. He has become rich here and is stealing at this point. It's sick.

I think we can give him a pass...how many national championships has he won or taken his team to in the past 10 years? Saying that KF is overpaid is an overstatement.
I'm so sick of these idiots on this board that keep worrying about what would happen if 'KF the Great' were to leave Iowa. They all say, "Oh no...we might hire the football program's version of Steve Alford." This happens to every program...there is always a risk, but at some point in time it becomes necessary. You have two choices, continue having seasons like we're having or change it up and try to reverse course before it's too late.
I think stupid people underestimate the draw of $4 million, great fans and great facilities.
