UVA's Bennett cites state of game for retirement
Tony Bennett cited the current environment in college basketball as a reason for his abrupt retirement as Virginia coach.
True for both BB and FB
Fever HC!Tony Bennett is 55 years old. It will be interesting to see what he does next. He is in that sweet spot, old enough not to need it, young enough to figure out what the last chapter will be.
Isn’t he about 15 years younger than Kirk? Just let that soak in for a few minutes.
If Kirk can work this team into the championship game and /or playoff then I am happy for him to stay longer.
If however we drop another one or two losses to the subpar programs left on our schedule then he needs to retire on his own or Beth needs to do it. It’s not going to get any better after this season as schedules will not be as weak as it is this season. We also we lose key players after this year.
If The Captain is planning to stay until he passes Bo Schembechler, he will need 31 wins
The way things have been going he will have to stay for, at least, 3 more years
If he can average 8 wins the next three years and gains 3 more wins this season, he will be
number 3
Vegas is setting the odds right now
