Tomorrow a Big Day for Iowa









Wouldn't it be better if ASU wins? They have an rpi of 91 and stanford has an rpi of 64. Therefore ASU is pretty much out and stanford maybe gets knocked out. I could be way wrong but just an observation.

I think people are thinking this might put ASU in or close to in.
 


If that's the case we should be in. They have an rpi of 91 to iowas 75 or whatever it is now. I don't think a win over Standford brings ASU up that much. I think this would only be good if ASU loses in the next round of course.

Also, on liverpi.com ASU has a lower overall SOS than Iowa and the two OOC SOS's are very close with Iowa's at 306 and ASU at 298. Iowa's bpi is also far above ASU's. That really shows me that if ASU wins it might knock standford out and ASU is still probably out.

Probably not, I agree, however they could move past us with a couple wins in the RPI. I would rather not have another team ahead of us in the RPI. I just think Cin was in either way. I think Iowa's real targets are Boise, LaSalle, St. Marys, Kentucky, Virginia, Miss, Tennessee, Villanova and maybe a couple others.

Win 2 games in the BTT (tough), avoid 2-3 of medicore teams winning their conference tourn and stealing a spot (I don't think their has been any spots stolen so far) and have at least a few of the bubble teams listed above look mediocre in their conference tournament (likely) = NCAA
 


AZ State wins. We need them to lose in the 2nd round. Can't have them boosting their RPI and making a run. The most important games of the night are the Boise State game and Villanova game. Two teams who are in striking distance.

According to liverpi, Iowa is at 77 and Standford dropped to 76 after losing today. ASU is 82, so the outcome today was great as long as they lose their next game.
