TOM ranking 11/15

Would have loved to see Marion mixing it up in conference given the depth at 41 in the big ten. Any word on whether he'll compete unattached in the coming weeks? Midlands?

Also Interesting to see Taylor ranked ahead of Jenkins despite Jenkins beating Taylor last year in open competition. (I have a soft spot for Jenkins since he's A. no longer a nittany lion and B. he stepped up to wrestle Metcalf for charity on less then a days notice after Caldwell and Dake committed and then backed out).

Alot of old faces this year return, Kennedy, Precin, Jenkins, and is Darrion Caldwell wrestling again this year?

yes caldwell is back this year, no i would not except to see Marion in any sort of opens this year have not heard anything just my opinion.

I went to the wrestleoffs but never did see Marion there at all, also not sure if he is allowed there during wrestleoffs. Anyone know?

I know the programs stance is still that Marion is off the team. But after wrestle-offs and seeing the log jam at 133 I got to wondering. I know that it makes sense to move out of the 125 class because of mcdonough but I was wondering why not one of Ramos, Clark, and Moore (specifically moore since he appears to be the biggest) didn't try and move up to 141. Unless of course they know something we don't, such as marion redeeming himself and returning to the lineup at 141 second semester? Most likely wrong, but just a thought

I've read that Mark Ballweg battled serious injuries but is now healthy. He could be much better this season than he's been given credit for. A competitive M. Ballweg is good for the Hawks whether or not Marion returns at some point. I do hope Marion returns but I'm counting him out for now so I don't go through the same roller coaster as last year with a certain 141lber.

Marion should be back 2nd semester. Hopefully back to practce in december.

Sorry thom67 but I don't see Marion wrestling for the Hawks again. I'm sure that you feel good about your source but I feel great about mine as well and I don't think you'll see Marion in the black and gold again.

My source is about as good as it gets. Not his Dad. It is not certain that he will be back, but pretty likely as long as he keeps his life in order. The final decision should be made in next couple of weeks.

lot of ppl on this board in and out of the ia wrestling room so its hard to believe no one else has heard of anything

The point to Tyler Change is that rankings are subjective. Jenkins has been away from wrestling for a little while and if he's losing to NAIA kids, to me that's reason enough to drop him in the rankings. Plus, it's November, who cares what the rankings are? You could go to each weight and find guys who beat other guys in past years.
