Weird we are hearing about other coaches let go and other coordinators hired, but nothing pertaining to Iowa's O coordinator position.

This is really smelling like nothing will change and KF is going triple down on BF. Not sure what to think. Are they hoping just getting new players on O is going to rite the ship?

I'm guessing any changes at IA will happen after bowl game. Barta and KF have always said they complete "full evaluations" at that time.

100% that's what's happening. I'm not holding my breath that BF is reassigned/demoted or fired. (he's not getting outright fired) But if any staff changes are going to happen that's when it'll be. I can't see things staying the same though I just can't...

Oh yea, we do have a crappy bowl game to go to. LOL. Didn't think about the timing. Definitely makes sense and how it will do down. Txs.

I am not even sure they do it then. Usually they wait until signing day is done in early February. Maybe that will change now with the portal and NIL and early signing day all changing the whole process recently.

Not sure what their problem was then. It was constantly mentioned that they had one of the best defenses in the BIG 12. They played to many one score games.
I've seen more than a few ISU fans say Manning was great between the 30s, but shit the bed in the red zone. No idea though, as I only watched one of their games this year and that was from the bleachers at Kinnick.

Several teams had that issue at Kinnick. But you have a good point.

They are correct, at least with this years team.

Rumor is Josh Gattis may be our next OC.... The tie that binds is that he was at Michigan coaching McNamara last yr... I guess he didn't fit in down at Miami very well and the dominos may just fall this way. Not sure if they'll be demoting/reassigning BF or how they'll do that. But I suspect we'll find out soon enough.

Can't we get some young moving up the ladder, rather than someone who has fallen from Michigan, to Miami, ......to Iowa? I'd rather get an OC that's looking to improve.

So, where are you hearing this from. Someone assuming just because he was McNamara's last OC?

I don't know. He's coached with some other great programs, and arguably may bring a lot of modern (post 1970's) offensive schemes. He's certainly coached some great players, and has been around the Alabama and Michigan programs. Having said that I know really nothing about him as a coach.
