Tom Kakert About To Go On With Matt & Miller

I wouldn't be surprised if this involved some sort of nutritional supplement-- nothing illegal, I'm talking GNC type-stuff. That stuff can tear up your kidneys if you're not careful.

A source close to the team confirmed to CBSSports.com that the malady afflicting the players is a kidney condition brought on after an excessively intense offseason workout. Also, that would corroborate the story of freshman linebacker Jim Poggi, who posted on Facebook that he was hospitalized after his "wizz" (urine) turned brown which is a condition that can be caused by overexertion.

Still, as the release mentioned, the players are safe and stable, and we don't expect any worsening of condition or long-term problems to come from this. It's scary, sure, but not a life- or program-changer by any stretch of the imagination.

That's my guess, too. There's stuff that's harsher than GNC that is readily available online. We had some experience with it when our son at around 18 or 19 suddenly started bulking up. He was weight lifting, too, but the growth was abnormal. It was all legal but something that should have been avoided. Fortunately we got him to stop before it affected his kidneys.

Sure... but also according to Matt, the entire team has a huge drug problem thanks to DJK. And if you defend DJK you are a homer.

Yeah, funniest part is that Matt told DJK on Twitter that he could have a whole 3 hour segment on his show if he'd like. I texted DJK and told him Matt is a DB, and he's killed him on his show. I also told DJK to ask Rob Howe what he thinks about Matt! ;)

DJK declined Matt's invite. :D

Screw it...give him back his 3 mil and tell him to go F himself and never donate to UConn again...

WTF??? You must still have your mind on your high maintenance swimming partner.

Weird, the post I quoted was in this thread but now it's not.

Nah, had 2 windows up because my comp will sign me out of the site if I'm idle for more than a few minutes! So I have a dummy window up when I'm planning a longer post...but thanks for pwn3d'ing me before I could get the delete to take hold!

That's not as good as my theory about your swimming partner.
