Complete guide to Iowa’s overseas basketball trip | TheGazette
Appears that this might have been the toughest game of the trip.

No surrender jokes yet?
Its starting to dawn on me that this could be the best Iowa team since Ive been really following the hawks circa the early 90s.
Probably won't be as good as the Earl, Street, Mosses, Barnes teams but it could be as good as any since.

Did Gassell play?Where are the stats at?
No he's sitting out this trip. Doctors said that he could new ready if it was conference play but since it's an exhibition game they don't wanna risk it.
I remember reading an article saying Gesell was ahead of schedule healing-wise and might play later on in the Eurotrip.

No he did not play. He broke his hand awhile ago.Did Gassell play?Where are the stats at?
It was funny the first time, but considering Kansas lost twice in that same gym last year, your "point" is moot.My maternal grandfather was a wise, practical man, who farmed a piece of dirt in Eastern Iowa for nearly 70 years. He always gave me little words of wisdom while I was growing up. One of his favorites seems applicable today. He said "Son, don't base your expectations on exhibition games against French scrubs."
Wise, wise man...
I would love for this team to be as good as the 2005-06 team that finished 2nd in the Big Ten, won the BTT and was seeded 3rd in the NCAA tourney....those would be great goals for this team. Its starting to dawn on me that this could be the best Iowa team since Ive been really following the hawks circa the early 90s.

So we'll be as good as kansas was last year, using this logic. I'm ok with that.It was funny the first time, but considering Kansas lost twice in that same gym last year, your "point" is moot.
