People really ought to stop using Cowherd in their videos. Most of the quotes are from the 2015 season which make them almost 6 years old. Furthermore, he's said Iowa is "no longer the fake ID of college football" (link here) after Iowa's beatdown of OSU in 2017.

Of course a guy like him is always going to go with push button comments. That’s what he does.

We really need to carry forward the momentum we had from last season. I think enough pieces are on this squad to make it happen. A few questions on both sides of line but Parker has a way of replacing outgoing defensive linemen with capable personnel. Above average linebackers, excellent secondary, experienced QB, dynamic running back, excellent tight end and above average receivers. If the offensive line as a whole can hold their own we should be able to take the West and give the East champ all they want.

I'm by no means a Cowherd fan, but the past few years he's been more of a Hawkeye supporter than an antagonist. Then again he seems to change his stance daily so it may change quickly, but I don't think he's been anti-Iowa recently.

He is still right about our lack of NTs. I would even add in the figure relative to the players we send to the NFL it is frustrating we don't have one....let alone we have not played in the playoff yet to challenge for one. We were one play away from it (losing to MSU) and likely being slaughtered by Alabama like MSU.
